"*Amazing LP of eye-quivering subbass pulses to shrill, hi-end tones, shortwave blasts and tectonic creaks.* Anton Düder is a possibly hypothetical German archaeologist who made recordings of sounds generated by the infamous Nazca Lines in Peru, circa early 2000s. As a riveting piece of sonic fiction, a story unfolds whereby he sent those recordings to revered sonic conceptualist and sound artist, John Duncan (who has previously worked with everyone from Carl Michael Von Hausswolf to Pan Sonic and Merzbow), to see if he could apply the same processes to the recordings which he used on 'Infrasound Tidal' - an album composed from infrasonic source recordings taken from tides, seismic activity and barometric data from the Australian coastline. The full story is disclosed in the liner notes, but in short the project was delayed for years and the two were never to communicate again, but Duncan was in possession of some fascinating sound recordings. Whether Düder is a real person or it's an elaborate hoax remains to discovered, but in his favour, the recordings were accompanied by meticulous data for each track documenting everything from geoglyphs to magnetic pressure, geodesic rotation, and humidity - all included with the fold-out insert. So, what does it sound like? Alien, is about the best description. From eye-quivering subbass pulses to shrill, filigree hi-end tones, shortwave blasts and tectonic creaks, but never once letting on either way. We've heard little else like it. Comes with embossed black sleeve, printed full colour inner sleeve and extra data-inlay." - Boomkat
