Hamburg based artist Mariola Brillowska favored media is the animation. Far away from children tales, her films are caleidoscope like cabinets of curiosities populated with voluptuous, violent figures embroiled in nightmarish absurdities.
In her earlier works from the 1990s she followed a nearly stringent kind of cinematic narration, this she changed to a more radical approach in her recent films. Often Brillowska uses experimental music to intensify the uncanny athmosphere of her traumatic world schemes.
